14. PARLIAMENT AND CENTRAL GOVERNMENT


*In the parliamentary elections of 2009, no single party won majority. How was the government formed? Discuss with the help of your teacher and write a paragraph.

*What do you mean by the legislature?

*What do you mean Lok Sabha?

3.This is also known as lower house.

*What do you mean Rajyasabha?

*Write about election commission?

2.It is conduct elections to the parliament,  state legislative assemblies and local self  bodies.

*What do you mean by the council of ministers?

*What do you mean Central list?

Ex: Defence, Railways etc.,

*What do you mean by state list?

The laws can be made by only the state legislature on some subjects is called state list.
